The Cherokee FCCLA Mentoring Matters Program was started in 2017 as an initiative in the Parenting and Child Development course. This program has been continued each year. The goal of the program is to connect FCS students and FCCLA members with elementary students. Through weekly visits at the elementary school in designated classrooms. Our high school students are building relationships with the elementary students and serving as mentors and role models for them.
